Orange Recruitment is currently working with a respected and progressive motor retailer to appoint a talented Vehicle Technician to join their busy aftersales team. This position would suit a qualified technician who enjoys diagnosing faults, maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, and working in a professional workshop environment where technical ability is genuinely valued.

You’ll be part of an experienced team responsible for keeping customers safely on the road through high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repair work.
Main Duties:
- Complete routine servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of passenger vehicles.
- Carry out diagnostic procedures to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, drivetrain, and engine systems.
- Perform vehicle inspections and identify any additional repairs or maintenance requirements.
- Interpret technical data and utilise diagnostic equipment to investigate more complex issues.
- Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop quality standards.
- Maintain accurate workshop records, service documentation, and technician reports.
- Work collaboratively with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle turnaround.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures within the workshop.
- Keep skills and technical knowledge current through ongoing training and development, including hybrid and electric vehicle technologies where applicable.
Requirements:
- Qualified Vehicle Technician, Motor Technician, or equivalent automotive qualification.
- Previous experience working within a dealership, independent garage, or commercial workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Experience working on hybrid or electric vehicles would be advantageous but is not essential.
