Staff Nurse – Medical Ward

The Role

As a Staff Nurse on the Medical Ward, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. You will play an integral role in promoting positive patient outcomes while supporting patients and their families throughout their hospital journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of patient-centred nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate effectively with consultants, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards.
• Actively participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
• Previous experience in an acute Medical Ward setting desirable.
• Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
