Orange Recruitment is recruiting a flexible locum Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team working in the field of Assessment of Need/Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis in Dublin West. Join our dynamic Family Centre Practice as a Speech and Language Therapist, providing support and intervention to children and families in a nurturing community setting. Job Title: Locum Speech and Language Therapist

Contract: Flexible Locum, 8 + hours per week depending on your availability, with the potential to increase.

Location: Dublin West

Salary: €90- €110 per hour

About the role:

  • Work as part of an organised multidisciplinary team to offer the highest quality assessments, consultations and therapies to families and their children.
  • Review all the documents on the client file to fully establish the appropriate assessment/s to be completed as part of AON.
  • Provide a variety of psychological assessments (ADOS, ADI-R and Speech & Language Therapy Assessments, school or home observations) to children and young people (3-17 years).
  • Offer full-scale reports to relevant professionals and clients as well as liaising with schools and other required agencies.
  • Within a multidisciplinary team, compile the evidence acquired to arrive at a differential diagnosis.
  • Take part in the quality assurance of reports by proof-reading all documents prior to submission to admin team as well as making any relevant changes as required by clients.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy as recognised by IASLT.
  • Children First Training (HSE Certificate).
  • CORU registration.
  • Member of IASLT or be eligible to join.
  • Minimum of 12 months postgraduate qualification experience.
  • Relevant experience in administering diagnostic assessments in the area of ASD.
  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 Training.
  • Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised Training (desirable).
  • Eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis

  • Flexible working hours and days.
  • Hybrid working arrangements available.

Salary Information:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Hourly rate of €90 – €110.00 per hour.
  • Travel and any other work-related expenses are covered.
