Orange Recruitment has partnered with a leading name in the Irish construction industry and they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take charge of day-to-day site operations on a large-scale construction project in County Kerry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected and well-established company delivering some of the country’s most high-profile builds. They’re looking for a hands-on, solutions-focused professional who excels at managing site activity, motivating teams, and maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
- Supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to ensure seamless coordination and productivity
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and building standards
- Work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, and commercial teams to manage schedules, resolve issues, and drive progress
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation, including daily site diaries
- Lead site meetings, briefings, and toolbox talks
- Monitor site resources, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient use and minimal waste
- Contribute to a positive site culture, promoting teamwork, responsibility, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site Manager or similar supervisory role
- Background in managing medium to large-scale residential or commercial construction projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schedules, and technical documents
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or Trade Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and site management software (e.g. Procore, PlanGrid, or similar)
