Procurement Scientific & Technical Officer
Digitisation and Standardisation of Processes and Paperwork
Salary: €40,000
Contract: Temporary Assignment – 6 Months
Hours: Monday to Friday
Location: Galway
Reporting To: Procurement Manager
Role Purpose
The Procurement Scientific & Technical Officer will support the digitisation and standardisation of procurement processes and documentation. The role will focus on developing and maintaining procurement content on SharePoint, improving access to procurement information, and supporting process improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain procurement guidance, communications, FAQs, process maps, and training materials.
- Support the digitisation and standardisation of procurement documentation and processes.
- Organise and manage procurement content, document libraries, and information architecture within SharePoint.
- Work with Procurement, HR, and key stakeholders to develop and promote procurement resources and best practices.
- Translate procurement policies and procedures into clear, user-friendly guidance.
- Ensure procurement content remains accurate, up to date, and compliant with governance requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant third-level qualification in Business, Procurement, Information Management, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience using SharePoint to develop and maintain content and document libraries.
- Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience creating guidance documents, process maps, training materials, or digital content.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
