Experienced HR Professional – Pay Transparency Directive Readiness
Location: Galway
Salary: €60,000 – €65,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Reporting to: Head of Human Resources
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to support the organisation’s readiness for the EU Pay Transparency Directive. The successful candidate will lead the development of a practical compliance framework, review grading and reward structures, assess policies and governance arrangements, and provide implementation recommendations to support transparent and equitable pay practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a framework to support compliance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
- Review and align grading structures with competency, capability and responsibility levels.
- Assess HR policies and procedures relating to recruitment, pay progression and equal pay governance.
- Identify organisational, policy and operational actions required for implementation.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop compliance and governance recommendations.
- Support stakeholder engagement and communication initiatives.
- Prepare supporting documentation, guidance materials, templates and implementation plans.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant third-level qualification (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in HR, Employment Law, Business, Organisational Development, Reward Management, Industrial Relations or a related field.
- Significant experience in HR, reward, organisational development, workforce planning, job evaluation or employment policy.
- Strong understanding of pay and reward frameworks within a complex organisation.
- Knowledge of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and equal pay principles.
- Experience translating legislative requirements into organisational policies, frameworks and operational plans.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Professional accreditation or specialist training in equal pay, reward management, job evaluation, gender pay gap reporting or employment legislation.
