Home Care Assistant Role

Full Time / Part Time Hours

Continental Shift Pattern (2 week roster pattern)

€14p/h

Balbriggan, North County Dublin, Skerries, Rush, Lusk, Donabate, Portrane, Malahide, Portmarnock and Swords Area.

Our client is looking for home care assistants providing support at home to enable service users to live independently within their own communities.

You will be responsible for:

• Personal care (tasks include but are not limited to bathing, transferring, washing, dressing and feeding).
• Practical light household care (tasks include but are not limited to making meals and light cleaning).
• To ensure that all medication is given in an accurate, prompt and supervised fashion in accordance with company procedures.
• To provide relief cover work for a colleague as required.
• To be aware of the changing needs of a service user and to report these to your Care Supervisor.
• To maintain written records of visits as required by the company, including completion of daily diary.
• To attend and participate in individual, team and company training and meetings as required.
• To participate in formal and informal individual, team and group supervision as required.

Desirable Qualifications

1. Full QQI level 5 in Health Care Support (Care of the Older Person and Care Skills modules are essential)

2. First Aid Training

3. Manual Handling Training

4. QQI Level 5 SNA (if applicable)

Mandatory Training Provided

1. Manual Handling and Patient moving (in person)

2. First Aid Training (in person)

3. Online Induction

4. Online Dementia Training

5. Online IPC Training
