Are you a Health and Safety professional looking to make a real impact in a dynamic, high-performing environment? My client are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their leadership team at a cutting-edge Energy Recovery Facility in Dublin. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on building a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Responsibilities:

Take ownership of health and safety performance across the facility, working closely with operational and maintenance teams to embed a proactive safety culture.

Act as the primary liaison with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), ensuring full regulatory compliance and timely reporting of all relevant incidents.

Lead regular inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments-identifying potential hazards and driving corrective actions.

Design and implement safety initiatives, engagement campaigns, and toolbox talks that drive behavioural change.

Manage safety documentation, SOPs, RAMS, and training records to meet both corporate and legal standards.

Investigate incidents and near misses, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver actionable reports with time-bound recommendations.

Coordinate emergency preparedness drills, support fire risk assessments, and ensure readiness for any unplanned events.

Collaborate with senior site leadership and contribute to strategic safety planning and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:

A degree or diploma in a technical, safety, or engineering-related discipline (or significant hands-on experience in a similar setting).

At least 5 years’ experience in a health and safety leadership role-preferably in energy, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial processing environments.

Deep understanding of Irish H&S legislation, including: Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005, General Application Regulations 2007, Construction Regulations 2013

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both operational teams and regulatory bodies confidently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to create clear reports, guidance documents, and compliance records.
