Orange Recruitment are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Facilities Technician to join our clients team. Reporting to the Facilities Engineer, you will play a key role in the maintenance and upkeep of electrical systems within client facilities while also assisting in the coordination of maintenance contractors. Responsabilities
- Maintenance & Equipment Management – Carry out daily inspections, repairs, and maintenance of electrical equipment, ensuring all systems function efficiently and safely.
- Identify and report existing or potential issues with electrical and non-electrical systems, escalating where necessary to the Facilities Engineer.
- Work closely with mechanical and multi-skilled technicians to maintain various systems and ensure smooth facility operations.
- Respond to maintenance requests logged through the facilities helpdesk, diagnose issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Oversee on-site contractors, ensuring compliance with permit-to-work systems and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and service visits, ensuring all documentation is up to date and readily available for audit purposes.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to both clients and colleagues, fostering a positive working environment.
- Support the implementation of energy-saving strategies, optimize plant operations, and make recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Embed a strong EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) culture, ensuring adherence to zero-tolerance policies for unsafe work practices.
Requirements
- Trade qualification in Electrical Services or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including emergency lighting, periodic inspections, PAT testing, thermographic surveys, and lighting management systems.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a qualified electrician, ideally within a similar environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused setting, with strong customer service skills.
- Excellent administrative and coordination skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
