Director of Finance
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary & Benefits:
- Remuneration €84,898 – €105,604 (7-point scale).

About the Role: Director of Finance
As Director of Finance, you will be a key member of the Executive Management Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for strategic financial management, business planning, compliance, and team development. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial leadership within public sector, not-for-profit, health, or disability services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership and strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Directors.
- Oversee the development, management, and monitoring of the organisation’s budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, statutory, and audit requirements, including those of the HSE and other public bodies.
- Drive financial sustainability and support strategic organisational development.
- Lead and grow a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including funders, auditors, and partners.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with at least 5+ years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Proven track record in budgeting, financial analysis, strategic planning, and team leadership within a large, complex service delivery environment.
- Deep understanding of public sector funding and financial frameworks, or the ability to adapt quickly to them.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Genuine alignment with the mission and values of the organisation.
Desirable:
- Experience working in or with healthcare, disability, social care, or not-for-profit sectors.
- Demonstrated capabilities in:
- Strategic financial planning
- Risk and compliance management
- Service excellence and quality assurance
- Leading finance transformation or digital finance initiatives
