Claims Handler – Pre-Litigation (Property)

Hybrid | Ireland (2 Days Office / 3 Days Remote)

Are you a CIP-qualified claims professional looking to take the next step in your insurance career?

We’re seeking an experienced Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of Property and Mixed Pre-Litigation Claims, delivering fair, customer-focused and commercially sound outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Claims Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Manage property and mixed claims from notification through to settlement.
    * Review policy coverage, set reserves and develop effective claims strategies.
    * Liaise with brokers, loss adjusters, customers and external experts.
    * Negotiate settlements, recovery actions and dispute resolutions.
    * Identify fraud risks and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
    * Collaborate with colleagues across Claims and Underwriting to achieve the best outcomes for customers.

About You

✔ CIP qualified (minimum) and MCC compliant.
✔ Strong General Insurance claims experience.
✔ Property claims experience essential; exposure to Liability or Motor claims is an advantage.
✔ Proven pre-litigation claims handling and negotiation skills.
✔ Customer-focused with strong commercial awareness and organisational skills.
