Orange Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and highly regarded dealership group to recruit an experienced Automotive Technician.
You’ll be working with some of the industry’s leading vehicle brands, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance while utilising the latest tools, equipment, and manufacturer training. As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, helping to deliver a first-class experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on customer vehicles.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults efficiently and accurately.
- Complete repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Carry out vehicle assessments and identify any additional maintenance requirements.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to troubleshoot complex faults.
- Accurately record work completed and maintain detailed workshop documentation.
- Work closely with service advisors and colleagues to ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment.
- Keep up to date with evolving vehicle technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Motor Technician with recognised automotive certification.
- Previous workshop experience carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Strong fault-finding abilities and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Confidence using modern diagnostic tools and workshop management systems.
- High Voltage (HV) certification or EV experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment.
