An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced automotive professional to take charge of a busy aftersales operation within a well-established dealer group in North Dublin. With a strong reputation for customer service and continued investment in its people and facilities, the business is seeking an ambitious Aftersales Manager who can lead from the front, drive performance, and continue to raise standards across both the workshop and customer-facing teams.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the overall success of the service and parts operation. The successful candidate will be trusted to make key commercial and operational decisions while developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers excellent results for both customers and the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the daily operation of the service and aftersales department.
- Drive workshop performance through effective planning, scheduling and resource management.
- Monitor labour sales, departmental profitability and workshop efficiency.
- Analyse key performance indicators and introduce improvements where necessary.
- Ensure workshop capacity is utilised effectively while maintaining service quality.
- Maintain high standards of customer care throughout the entire aftersales journey.
- Handle customer concerns and complex cases in a professional manner.
- Develop strategies to improve customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Lead and support Service Advisors, Technicians, Workshop Controllers and Parts staff.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Identify opportunities for staff development and ongoing training.
- Support apprentice development and succession planning initiatives.
- Ensure all manufacturer standards and operational procedures are followed.
- Oversee health and safety compliance across the department.
- Manage departmental budgets, costs and resources effectively.
- Drive a positive team culture built around performance, accountability and customer service.
- Ensure accurate use of systems, processes and reporting tools.
- Work closely with senior management to achieve business objectives and growth plans.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience managing a busy automotive service or aftersales operation.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of achieving performance targets.
- Proven leadership experience managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Customer-focused with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
- Confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
- Good understanding of dealership systems and workshop processes.
- Professional, approachable and capable of leading by example.
- Full clean driving licence.
