Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – High Dependency Unit (HDU)

Location: Dublin, Ireland

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to lead a High Dependency Unit within a leading private hospital in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic nurse leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, driving clinical excellence, and supporting the development of a high-performing multidisciplinary team..

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care within the HDU.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Act as a clinical expert and role model for nursing staff.
• Manage daily operations of the HDU, ensuring appropriate staffing and resource allocation.
• Monitor patient flow and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise care pathways.
• Contribute to service development and strategic planning initiatives.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
• Lead, motivate, and develop nursing teams to achieve excellence in patient care.
• Facilitate education, mentoring, and coaching programmes for nursing staff.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.

Essential Criteria

• Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Must have a minimum of 3-5 years previous clinical experience
• Must have a management course or be willing to undertake one
