Orange Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading property services organisation in the recruitment of a Qualified Electrician to join their growing Property Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician seeking a varied and rewarding role, working across a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will be involved in a mix of planned maintenance, upgrades, inspections, installations, and reactive repairs, delivering high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installation works across residential and commercial properties.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants, occupants, and clients.
- Complete upgrades, servicing, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems.
- Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and certification in line with current regulations and Qualified Certifier requirements.
- Undertake both minor and full rewiring projects to the highest standards.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and reactive maintenance requests, delivering prompt and professional solutions.
- Work independently and collaboratively with the wider maintenance team to ensure service targets are achieved.
- Organise and manage daily workloads effectively, prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain accurate digital records, reports, inspections, and certification documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, industry regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach while representing the company on client sites.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Electrician with recognised trade certification.
- Minimum of 4-5 years’ post-apprenticeship experience.
- Previous experience within property maintenance, facilities management, housing, or commercial maintenance environments is highly desirable.
- Qualified Certifier (QC) status is essential.
- Strong fault-finding, testing, inspection, maintenance, and rewiring experience.
- Excellent knowledge of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and compliance.
- Full clean driving licence preferred.
