Orange Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing specialist contractor delivering Passive Fire Protection and construction projects across Ireland.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on site, enjoys managing teams and subcontractors, and takes pride in delivering projects safely, on time, and to the highest standard. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day site operations while ensuring quality, compliance, and client expectations are consistently met. Experience within Passive Fire Protection is essential, including areas such as fire stopping, compartmentation, fire door installations, penetration sealing, and compliance with relevant fire safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all daily site activities and coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the required specification.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager.
  • Attend site meetings and contribute to project planning and progress reviews.
  • Maintain site records, reports, programmes, and project documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation and management of weekly activity schedules and progress reports.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, Integrated Management Systems, and relevant legislation.
  • Coordinate site inductions for employees and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all required health and safety documentation is in place before works commence.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure safe working practices are maintained.
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety team to achieve and maintain the highest safety standards.
  • Oversee passive fire protection installations to ensure works are completed in accordance with approved specifications and industry standards.
  • Carry out quality inspections and monitor workmanship throughout all stages of installation.
  • Ensure fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation works, and associated systems meet compliance requirements.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
  • Complete snagging and defect inspections and coordinate close-out activities.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on site.
  • Monitor productivity, workmanship, and programme performance.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with site rules, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Track labour resources and maintain accurate site records.
  • Identify issues early and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and call-offs to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor plant utilisation and control costs effectively.
  • Ensure materials are stored correctly and protected from damage or theft.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and secure site environment at all times.
  • Oversee waste management and environmental compliance on site.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, specialist contracting, fit-out, or passive fire protection projects.
  • Essential experience in Passive Fire Protection, including fire stopping, compartmentation and fire door projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Competent IT skills and experience maintaining project records and reports.
  • Full driving licence.
