Orange recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Working Supervisor to join our specialist cleaning operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on individual who has a strong background in industrial and specialist cleaning and is confident leading teams while actively participating in daily operations. This is not a desk-based supervisory role. The successful candidate will be expected to lead by example, work alongside cleaning operatives on site, ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently, and maintain the highest standards of workmanship for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise cleaning teams on industrial and specialist cleaning projects.
- Carry out specialist cleaning works alongside the operational team.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks on completed works.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Operate and oversee the use of specialist cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives.
- Complete job documentation, risk assessments and relevant site records where required.
- Provide guidance, training and support to team members.
- Assist with workforce planning and allocation of resources on projects.
- Ensure cleaning equipment, vehicles and materials are maintained and used correctly.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the cleaning, facilities management or related industry.
- Extensive hands-on experience in industrial and specialist cleaning environments.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Valid Manual Handling certification.
- Safe Pass certification.
- MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) certification/training.
- Practical experience with power washing and pressure cleaning systems.
- Professional window cleaning experience, including the use of Reach & Wash systems.
- Experience operating industrial cleaning machinery and specialist equipment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessment and safe working practices.
- Proven ability to supervise teams and maintain consistently high standards of work.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
