Senior Site Engineer

Orange Recruitment are seeking a Senior Site Engineer to join our clients Dublin team and take a lead role in the successful delivery of a major construction project. You will work closely with the Project Manager and site team, taking ownership of all engineering and technical aspects on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency from groundworks to handover.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all setting out, surveying, and site engineering activities
• Manage the implementation of design and engineering solutions on-site
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure accurate execution of technical details
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
• Conduct regular quality inspections, monitor concrete pours, reinforcement, and structural elements
• Maintain records including daily site reports, site diaries, method statements, and ITPs
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders
• Support junior engineers and mentor graduate staff
• Provide input into construction methodologies, sequencing, and temporary works planning

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a site engineering role on large-scale projects
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, concrete, steel, and groundworks
• Proficient in setting out using Total Station, GPS, and AutoCAD
• Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and mentor junior staff
• A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to quality and safety
• Familiarity with BCAR, Irish Building Regulations, and ISO standards
• Right to work in Ireland and a valid driver’s licence
