Orange Recruitment are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking to join a forward-thinking energy management company. They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems across industrial and commercial sites. Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems while ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Oversee and perform alignment, balancing, and leveling of pumps, fans, and other rotating equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks, including the repair and installation of piping and steel structures.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize the reliability and lifespan of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults, keeping detailed maintenance records for reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in training team members, sharing expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to enhance overall team capability.
• Take an active role in plant shutdown operations, including dismantling, inspecting, and reassembling critical equipment.
• Be available for on-call duties and overtime when required to support plant operations.
• Provide support to warehouse and operations teams when needed, ensuring seamless workflow.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Engage in on-site safety and quality initiatives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work towards achieving Lead Mechanic qualifications, expanding your expertise and career opportunities.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to support operational efficiency.

Experience

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Engineering.
• Strong experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
• Proficiency in welding, pipework installation, and fabrication.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Flexibility for on-call shifts and overtime when required.
