Control Room Operator

Orange Recruitment are sourcing a Control Room Operator for our client based in Ballymount, Dublin. You will be at the heart of operations, ensuring real-time monitoring and swift response to any alerts or incidents. As a Control Room Operator you’ll be responsible for maintaining security, safety, and efficiency across various sites by utilizing state-of-the-art monitoring technology.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor security, fire alarm, life safety, AV, and building automation systems in real-time in the Control Room.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following set protocols.
• Coordinate with on-site teams, service engineers, and emergency responders when required.
• Log and report all incidents, alarms, and system malfunctions accurately.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues remotely and escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.

Requirements:

• Experience in a control room, security monitoring, or technical operations environment.
• Knowledge of security, fire, life safety, AV, or building automation systems is a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with monitoring software.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
