Orange Recruitment is seeking a QHSE Manager on behalf of our client in the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to QHSE management, with a proven ability to engage teams and ensure compliance with high standards across multiple sites. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in regulatory environments are essential.
Salary: €55,000-€65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Overview of the Role
As a QHSE Manager, you will champion a culture of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) while supporting the organization’s objectives. You’ll work closely with operational teams to foster understanding and compliance with QHSE standards, driving performance improvements through proactive monitoring and management of systems and procedures.
This role also includes serving as the GDP Champion, overseeing compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) systems and acting as the primary contact for quality and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Complete customer questionnaires, review SLA requirements, and ensure compliance.
- QHSE Leadership: Advise management and staff on legislation, best practices, and QHSE standards.
- Policy Implementation: Develop and consistently apply the Health and Safety Statement, Environmental Management System Manual, and related policies.
- System Oversight: Manage and audit QHSE systems, ensuring integrity and adherence across the organization.
- Incident Management: Investigate Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Training & Compliance: Coordinate and track relevant training for employees, maintaining accurate records.
- Supplier & Customer Validation: Conduct bona fide checks on all suppliers and customers to ensure legitimacy.
- Certification Maintenance: Manage and attain certifications (e.g., ISO, BRC, GDP) across all sites.
- Operational Standards: Ensure SOPs and work instructions are accurate, updated, and properly implemented.
- Audit Management: Conduct audits, address findings, and ensure hygiene standards are consistently met.
- Employee Induction: Oversee onboarding to ensure all new employees are properly trained and certified.
- GDP Responsibilities:
- Maintain GDP systems and ensure compliance with the Code of Practice.
- Investigate and document GDP deviations and complaints, applying CAPA principles.
- Coordinate self-inspections and implement corrective measures as required.
