Orange Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Facilities Combined Services Manager. Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a passionate, experienced Facilities Combined Services Manager to join their team. This role is based on-site in Athlone, and offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Salary: €70,000 – €75,000 DOE

Location: Athlone

As the Facilities Combined Services Manager (CSM), you will oversee the smooth delivery of both hard and soft facilities services at our client’s premises. You’ll lead an experienced team and collaborate with contractors to ensure all planned, reactive, and project work is executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of technical services in a manufacturing setting.
  • Formal H&S qualification (e.g., IOSH) is desirable.
  • Proactive and dependable with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards is an advantage.
  • Strong IT, administration, and communication skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Experience with managing compliance documentation, monitoring work tickets, and liaising with clients.
  • Ability to identify trends, track key metrics, and drive continuous improvement.

The role also involves ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, maintaining compliance with GMP quality systems, and fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture for all site-based teams and contractors.
  • Ensure GMP Quality System compliance and maintain audit readiness at all times.
  • Develop and oversee PPM, corrective, and reactive maintenance schedules using the client’s CMMS system.
  • Collaborate with the cleaning manager to deliver clean, presentable facilities that exceed client expectations.
  • Supervise third-party contractors to ensure adherence to safety and service standards.
  • Track financial performance in collaboration with the financial administrator.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects within budget and timelines.
  • Produce reports, chair meetings, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Participate in 24/7 emergency on-call support as required.
