***New Role: Financial Reporting Manager – Global Investment Manager – Dublin – €80,000 per year***

Our leading Investment Management client, based in Dublin, are looking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager for their Dublin office. This is a newly established operation in Dublin with strong growth trajectory for the future.

About the Role

Our leading Investment Management client, are looking to strengthen their Financial Reporting function and are seeking to recruit a team member who has experience in financial reporting and people management. They must have thorough knowledge of the financial reporting standards and an ability to work to strict deadlines.

You will also be reviewing financial statements prepared in accordance with various GAAP & Reporting standards, e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP. Financial Statements are prepared for both Hedge Funds and Alternative Funds and also from various domiciles e.g. Cayman; Bermuda, Irish etc.

The role holder will have a strong, “hands on” operational focus, people management experience and is expected to optimize effectiveness and efficiency in operational delivery.

Your Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include review of annual and semi annual financial statements for funds. Statements are prepared in accordance with various accounting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP and work within the agreed deadlines. Candidates should be able to analyse figures that are included in statements and have a questioning and proactive mentality. The role holder must be able to see the financial statements and audit process through from start to finish. The role will involve contact with all stakeholders to the preparation process including clients, auditors and internal sections.

Your Experience

The successful candidate should have:

  • At least 5 years experience in the review of various types of financial statements with a good knowledge of the Funds and Asset Management industry.
  • At least 2 years people management experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Good organisational skills with a proven ability to manage a work load.
  • Strong excel and word skills essential.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy essential.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and their accounting treatment.
  • A high level of integrity, a commitment to service excellence and ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with Clients, Auditors & other third parties.
  • Experience of liaising internally with offshore site to monitor service standards.
  • Finance related third level qualification.
  • Qualified Accountant
