Orange Recruitment is urgently hiring a Team Lead for a respected adult residential service in Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified professional to support and guide a team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to adults with intellectual disabilities.

As Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the service, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for residents. Applicants must hold a Level 7 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent), be CORU registered or in the process, and have a full driving licence with access to a vehicle. Salary Range: €41,269 – €52,445 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, permanent

Essential Requirements

  • Level 7 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent)

  • CORU registration (in-process or completed)

  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle

  • Minimum one year’s experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally with supervisory or leadership experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Support the safe and effective running of the residential service, ensuring quality care aligned with organisational values.

  • Lead and Support the Team: Supervise and mentor Social Care Assistants and Volunteers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

  • Maintain Compliance: Assist in upholding all statutory, HSE, and HIQA requirements, ensuring day-to-day operations meet quality and safety standards.

  • Champion Resident Well being: Prioritise the rights, dignity, and independence of residents, ensuring a person-centred approach in all aspects of care.

  • Create a Supportive Environment: Help maintain a homely, inclusive space that supports the emotional and practical needs of all residents.

  • Promote Service Improvement: Contribute to quality assurance processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring best practice is followed.

  • Model Leadership: Lead by example through professional conduct, clear communication, and an empowering approach to staff and residents.

  • Support Individual Planning: Work closely with the Person in Charge and multidisciplinary teams to help residents achieve personal goals.

  • Manage Challenges Effectively: Apply calm, respectful, and constructive conflict resolution when needed.

  • Support Organisational Values: Contribute to a values-driven culture that upholds the organisation’s mission and ethos in everyday service delivery.
