Location: Lucan, Co. Dublin
Salary: €40,351 – €68,169 per annum
Contract: Permanent / Full-Time

Join a child-centred, professional team providing high-quality care within Special Care Units in Co. Dublin. As a Social Care Worker, you will support children and young people through structured routines, therapeutic interventions, and consistent emotional support-helping them grow, stabilise, and move toward greater independence.

Orange Recruitment is seeking Social Care Workers with 18+ months’ experience and who are either CORU registered or eligible. If you are unsure of your CORU pathway, we offer full guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a safe, supportive environment for children and young people

• Implement Care and Placement Plans

• Support daily routines (education, appointments, meals, activities)

• Engage in therapeutic and age-appropriate interventions

• Liaise with families and professionals

• Maintain accurate reports and documentation

• Participate in team meetings and supervision

• Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours using approved interventions

Requirements

• Level 7 degree in Social Care or related field

• Experience working with children in residential, special care, or alternative care

• Eligible to work in Ireland

• CORU registered or in process

• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed practice
