Senior Social Worker (Mental Health Rehabilitation)

Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary mental health team. This role offers the opportunity to support individuals with complex and enduring mental health needs in a specialist rehabilitation setting, promoting recovery, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based social work services
• Assess psychosocial needs and provide therapeutic interventions (individual, family, group)
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Support rehabilitation, recovery, and social inclusion
• Maintain accurate clinical records
• Contribute to clinical governance and service development
• Support student social workers and training initiatives

Requirements

• CORU registration (Social Workers Register)
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience
• Experience in mental health and rehabilitation settings
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary working and clinical governance

Desirable:

• Experience in homeless or forensic mental health services
• Experience in supervision or teaching
