SOCIAL CARE WORKER – Children’s Residential Services (Drumcondra, Dublin 9)
Salary Scale: €38,951 – €54,989 per annum (in line with public sector pay scales)

This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role within a high-support children’s residential service in Drumcondra, Dublin 9, providing trauma-informed care to young people aged 13-17. To be considered, candidates must hold or be eligible for CORU registration. If you are unsure about your eligibility, full guidance and support will be provided.

The role focuses on building therapeutic relationships and supporting positive attachment and growth. You will engage directly with young people, assist with household and administrative tasks, work closely with the care team, and uphold the highest standards of safety and professional practice.

Role Overview

  • Care Planning: Contribute to the development and documentation of Care and Placement Plans
  • Advocacy: Promote and protect the rights of young people in care
  • Wellbeing: Safeguard the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each young person

Job Requirements

  • Registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board (CORU), or
  • A CORU-approved Social Care qualification with proof of application for registration, or
  • Eligibility for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board, with supporting evidence
