Orange Recruitment are urgently seeking Social Care Workers for a well-established adult residential service in Dunshane, Co. Kildare. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified Social Care professionals to join a supportive, person-centred team dedicated to providing high-quality care to adults with intellectual disabilities.

As a Social Care Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, inclusion, and dignity in a nurturing residential environment. Applicants must hold a Level 7 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent) and have a full driving licence with access to a car. Salary Scale: €36,379 – €52,445 per annum

Duration: Full time – 40 hours per week – Permanent

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of a Level 7 in Social Care
  • CORU registration must be at least in-process
  • A full driver’s licence and availability of own car
  • Candidates must have 1 year of experience working with vulnerable adults

Responsibilities

  • Emotional and Behavioural Support: Use positive behaviour support strategies to help individuals manage emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records including daily notes, incident reports, and updates to care plans.
  • Work Collaboratively: Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, and community services to ensure coordinated care.
  • Health and Well being Monitoring: Support individuals with medication, appointments, and overall physical and mental health needs.
  • Promote Rights and Advocacy: Empower individuals to understand and exercise their rights, and advocate on their behalf when needed.
