Orange Recruitment is currently hiring Social Care Workers for a well-regarded adult residential service in Kilcullen, Co. Kildare. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional, caring team that supports adults with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives in a safe and supportive setting.

As a Social Care Worker, you’ll work directly with service users to promote inclusion, well being, and dignity in all aspects of daily life. A Level 7 Social Care qualification (or equivalent), along with a full driver’s licence and access to a car, is required. This permanent role offers excellent benefits and career progression opportunities in a well-established Kildare service with a strong community focus.

Salary: €36,379 – €52,445 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week – Permanent Contract

What You’ll Need

  • A Level 7 qualification in Social Care (or an equivalent recognised degree)
  • CORU registration must be at least in-process
  • A full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
  • At least one year’s experience working with vulnerable adults in a care setting

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Support Positive Well being: Use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches to help individuals manage behavioural and emotional challenges.
  • Keep Records Up to Date: Complete daily logs, care plan updates, and any incident documentation clearly and accurately.
  • Work as a Team: Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and colleagues to ensure high standards of care and communication.
  • Promote Health and Safety: Support residents with appointments, medication, and their overall physical and mental well being.
  • Advocate for Choice and Rights: Encourage service users to be active participants in their own lives and advocate for their needs and preferences.
