Social Care Worker

CORU registered Social Care Worker or CORU in process applicants urgently required for Residential Services Co Kildare

Social Care Worker salary scale; point 1; €36,379 – point 12; €52,445 per annum

Must be authorised to work in Ireland.

The Social Care Worker will have the opportunity to work with a skilled and responsive team to deliver a high-quality service. Working closely with the Social Care Leader, multi-disciplinary team and families, the key task is to provide a person centred support service to ensure a good quality of life for the individuals.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

  • Authorised to work in Ireland
  • CORU registered or in process of registration
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Heath or Social Care.
  • Social Care Worker – Approved Qualifications – Approved by the Social Care Workers Registration Board
  • Fluent English required
  • Candidates must have 1 years’ experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities
  • An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
  • An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • A full driver’s licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
