Social Care Worker – Autism Support Specialist

Location: North Co Dublin
Social Care Worker salary scale; point 1; €39,951 – point 12; €56,089 per annum (HSE Incremental Pay Scale)

Orange recruitment are seeking experienced and dedicated Social Care Workers with a strong background in autism support. This organisation is renowned for its commitment to person-centred care, exceptional staff development, and creating meaningful outcomes for service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, individualised support to adults with ASD, empowering them to live with dignity, independence, and choice
- Support adults with Autism in daily living, community participation, and personal development
- Implement tailored support plans that meet communication, sensory, and behavioural needs
- Foster a safe, secure environment that encourages growth and reduces anxiety
- Work collaboratively with families, allied professionals, and care teams
- Uphold best practice in safeguarding and rights-based care
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Authorised to work in Ireland
- CORU Registered or in process of registration
- Social Care Worker – Approved Qualifications – Approved by the Social Care Workers Registration Board
- A qualification received outside the State recognised by NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award
- Fluent English required
- Experience in Positive Behaviour Support or similar approaches
- Proven experience supporting adults with Autism or neurodevelopmental conditions
- Strong communication skills, including the use of autism-friendly supports (e.g., visual aids, social stories)

- Premium Payments – Saturday Rates, Double time on Sunday, Unsocial pay rates applicable
- Permanent Full time and part time roles
- 39 Hours per week based on a roster system; Day and Night duty cover
- 24 Days annual leave pro rata
