Social Care Service Manager for Residential and Community based Service Co Wicklow

Salary base ; €54,123.11 – €66,077.75

Monday to Friday

Purpose of the role

Operating as a member of the Regional Team, the Service Manager will manage, lead, and develop both the residential and community-based services. The Service Manager will be committed to achieving the highest standards of excellence and ensuring the continuous improvement of standards, safety, quality, and service delivery, in line with the organisational and regional team objectives. The Service Manager will also take on the role of PIC (Person in Charge) for HIQA purposes. The services aim to ensure that all individuals using these supports live their best possible life and have valued roles in their families and communities. It is critical to perform your duties in a manner consistent with the services values and operating ethos.

Qualifications and Experience Qualifications

  • Third-level qualification or relevant professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in the disability, personal social services, or healthcare sector.
  • Strategic leadership and people management experience.
  • Knowledge of current policy and developments in the disability sector.
  • Understanding of the HIQA Inspection process and action plans.
  • Familiarity with the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Trust in Care, and Adult Safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Eligible to work and live in the Republic of Ireland, with the ability to speak and write English fluently.
  • A clean driving licence and willingness to travel using own vehicle.
