Social Care Assistant – Adult Residential Disability Services (Co. Kildare)
Salary Scale: €30,272 – €37,483 per annum (Point 1, HSE scale)

We are urgently recruiting Social Care Assistants to join a supportive and values-driven adult residential disability service in County Kildare. Key Responsibilities

  • Support and respect the rights of each person using the service

  • Promote independence, choice, and decision-making

  • Deliver care through a person-centred approach

  • Encourage self-care skills, including personal hygiene, health, and wellbeing

  • Contribute to care planning and continuous improvement of services

Essential Requirements

  • Authorised to work in Ireland

  • Full QQI Level 5 (8 modules) in Social Care/Healthcare or Nursing qualification

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience supporting vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities

  • Fluent English (written and verbal) with strong communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)

  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)

  • Knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations, and the New Directions model of day support services
