Orange Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Senior Site Engineer to join our client’s project team in Dublin, playing a central role in the delivery of a high-profile construction scheme. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead the on-site engineering function, ensuring all technical and quality standards are consistently met from initial groundworks through to final completion.
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in setting out, surveying, and overseeing all site engineering tasks.
- Implement technical and design specifications on-site, ensuring accurate interpretation and execution.
- Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and site teams to maintain programme and design integrity.
- Monitor health and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to legal and internal policies.
- Carry out regular inspections of quality-critical activities such as concrete pours, rebar installation, and structural works.
- Keep detailed and accurate records, including daily site logs, inspection reports, and method statements.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, architects, and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support the professional development of graduate team members.
- Contribute to planning of construction methods, sequencing, and temporary works strategies.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ site engineering experience, ideally on large commercial or infrastructure builds.
- Deep understanding of civil and structural systems including concrete, steelwork, and ground engineering.
- Skilled in setting out using GPS, Total Station, and proficient in AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing teams and subcontractors.
- Problem-solver with a hands-on approach and a focus on quality and site safety.
- Knowledge of BCAR, Irish Building Regulations, and relevant ISO standards.
- Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
