Refrigeration Technician

Orange Recruitment have partnered with a long-established building services company providing mechanical and electrical maintenance to a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and mission-critical sites. We are now sourcing a Refrigeration Technician who will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment across various sites. The position involves a blend of planned preventative maintenance, reactive response, and occasional project support.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out PPM and reactive works on refrigeration and HVAC plant
• Diagnose faults, recommend solutions, and complete repairs to industry best practice
• Ensure all work is logged and reported accurately using our maintenance management system
• Support clients by delivering clear communication and professional service on every visit
• Participate in an out-of-hours rota to support emergency call-out services
• Work closely with our technical supervisors to maintain compliance and performance standards

Systems You’ll Work On:

• Refrigeration plant (small to large-scale)
• Chillers and air-conditioning systems
• Ventilation and air-handling equipment
• Associated mechanical and electrical controls

Requirements:

• Relevant refrigeration qualification (e.g., F-Gas Category 1 or equivalent)
• Strong technical background in commercial or industrial cooling systems
• Full clean driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
