As their project portfolio continues to expand, they’re now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys working on high-profile, technically challenging projects.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of cost management across a portfolio of projects, from tender through to final account.
- Prepare detailed budgets and forecasts for review by senior management.
- Lead subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, and contract awards.
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier payments in line with agreed terms and company procedures.
- Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team where required.
- Collaborate with Contracts Managers and Project Managers to ensure cost and programme objectives are achieved.
- Manage variation accounts, valuations, and cost reporting accurately and on time.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive project documentation for internal and external reporting.
- Contribute to the commercial strategy of the business through proactive value engineering and cost analysis.
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within fit-out, commercial, or residential construction.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing costs and contracts on large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent commercial acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Capable of managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
