Job Title: Procurement Support
Location: Blended work model (remote & flexible working arrangements) Dublin
Salary: €42,145 per annum
Annual Leave: 23 days (pro-rata)
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Specified Purpose Contract (approx. 3–6 months)
Start Date: Immediate
Job Purpose
Orange Recruitment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support to the Procurement Team within the public sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing compliant, best practice procurement processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Procurement Team in preparing tender documentation in line with policy.
- Assist with publishing tenders in accordance with public procurement thresholds.
- Provide administrative support for tender evaluations.
- Assist in managing contract set-up, compliance, and expenditure.
- Support business units with their annual procurement plans.
- Assist with the management of the contract management system.
- Undertake additional duties and projects as required, contributing as a full member of the Procurement Team.
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and motivate others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Strong time management with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Some knowledge of procurement legislation and procedures.
- Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
- High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications/Mandatory Training:
- A professional qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of National and EU Procurement Regulations.
- Experience within public sector procurement.
