Orange Recruitment is currently partnering with a dynamic and expanding construction company in Dublin to recruit an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-value commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, providing support throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial cost planning to project completion. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation, monitoring, and adjustment of project budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
- Play a key role in tendering, subcontractor procurement, and contract award processes.
- Support financial control through cash flow forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting.
- Help manage contract variations and assist with subcontractor claims and payment applications.
- Attend site visits to monitor project progress and validate subcontractor outputs.
- Collaborate closely with senior QSs, project leads, and site personnel to ensure commercial accuracy.
- Keep project documentation well-organised and up to date across all phases.
- Contribute to value engineering, risk assessments, and performance reviews as needed.
Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a similar field.
- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably with a main contractor or property developer.
- Strong grasp of Irish construction contracts, regulatory frameworks, and procurement processes.
- Proficient in QS-related software such as Cubit, CostX, Buildsoft, or advanced Excel.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Capable of thriving in a collaborative, fast-moving team environment.
