Orange Recruitment are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support the maintenance and operation of building services systems across our Facility Maintenance clients Dublin-based sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment within the company’s portfolio.
  • Service and maintain a range of mechanical, electrical, and general building services systems.
  • Work closely with the service desk, responding promptly to both technical and non-technical requests in line with agreed service levels.
  • Provide support and coordination for subcontractors when required.
  • Operate independently while demonstrating initiative and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Complete any training identified by the M&E Manager within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure all service documentation is properly completed and signed off by the client or submitted as required.
  • Assist with pricing enquiries, quotations, and procurement processes when necessary.
  • Utilise and maintain accurate records within the CAFM system to ensure effective asset management.
  • Promote best practice standards and actively contribute to service improvements.
  • Support the M&E Manager with site changes, minor works, and project activities.
  • Provide accurate operational data to support reporting requirements.
  • Comply fully with Health & Safety regulations and all relevant technical service legislation.
  • Report accidents, incidents, and any irregular site conditions to the client and M&E Manager without delay.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide site support when required.

Requirements:

  • Refrigeration Craft Certificate (F-Gas City & Guilds 2009 Category 1).
  • Formal certification in servicing split air conditioning systems and air handling units.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Valid Safe Pass certification.
  • Experience maintaining large-scale chiller systems and major air handling installations.
  • Strong technical understanding of AHUs, ventilation systems, associated components, and control systems.
  • GID gas certification.
  • RGI qualification and experience servicing oil and gas boilers (domestic and commercial) would be beneficial.
  • Post-apprenticeship experience within a building services maintenance environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of wet heating systems, including LPHW and CHW, with strong plumbing and pipefitting skills essential.
