Orange Recruitment is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our clients Dublin based Service Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled and customer focused individual to play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance, commissioning, and refurbishment services across their installed base.

Working independently in a field-based capacity, you’ll be responsible for servicing a wide range of equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, professional service and maintenance support to contract customers in line with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Diagnose system faults and carry out timely repairs or component replacements to restore equipment functionality.
  • Accurately recommend critical spare parts and refurbishment solutions to customers, supporting the long-term reliability of their systems.
  • Perform system performance assessments, including airflow and moisture content measurements, using established procedures and tools.
  • Commission and configure new systems, ensuring proper setup, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Produce comprehensive and clearly written service reports and health & safety documentation following each site visit.
  • Identify and communicate additional service opportunities or system upgrade needs to the After Sales team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across regions when needed to support national or time-sensitive projects.
  • Actively contribute to service process improvements and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
  • Participate fully in training initiatives, including on-the-job learning, self-directed study, and certification renewals.
  • Provide technical assistance across other departments when required, such as project engineering or product support, subject to management approval.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience servicing engineered capital equipment in the field (Essential).
  • Certified to work with F-Gas systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and principles, particularly within the air handling and dehumidification sector.
  • Competent in fault diagnosis and root cause analysis for both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and performance measurement instruments.
  • Comfortable using digital tools (Excel, Word, service applications) for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Experience in calculating airflow and moisture levels as part of system performance analysis.
  • HNC/HND (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (Preferred).
