Orange Recruitment is currently working with a well-established building services organisation to recruit an experienced Commercial Heating Engineer to join its growing technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified heating professional seeking a varied, field-based role with a company that offers long-term stability, ongoing training and exposure to a broad range of commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance activities on commercial heating and mechanical systems
  • Inspect, service and repair boilers, burners, pumps, valves, pressurisation units and associated plant
  • Diagnose faults and restore systems efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Support installation, upgrade and commissioning projects when required
  • Complete service reports and compliance documentation accurately
  • Liaise with technical support teams and management to ensure high service standards are maintained
  • Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and energy efficiency
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety and industry regulations
  • Maintain plant rooms and equipment to a high professional standard

Responsibilities:

  • A trade qualification in Plumbing, Heating or Mechanical Services
  • Current RGI certification
  • Previous experience working on commercial heating systems and associated plant
  • A background within facilities management, building services, utilities or commercial maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance activities
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with digital maintenance systems
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • A full clean driving licence
