Orange Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading Facilities Management provider to recruit an experienced Heating & Mechanical Services Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial client sites across Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified heating professional looking to join a well-established organisation offering long-term stability, varied technical work and the opportunity to work across a wide range of modern building services and mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining critical heating infrastructure while supporting installation, upgrade and commissioning projects across multiple client locations.

The Role:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on heating and mechanical plant
  • Servicing, inspecting and maintaining boilers, burners, pumps, valves, pipework and associated equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime and maximise system performance
  • Supporting installation, commissioning and upgrade projects across client sites
  • Completing service documentation, compliance records and maintenance reports accurately
  • Working closely with engineering management and support teams to ensure effective service delivery
  • Maintaining high standards across safety, compliance and environmental requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency
  • Ensuring plant rooms and work areas are maintained to a professional standard

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Plumber, Heating Engineer or Mechanical Services Engineer
  • RGI certified essential
  • Strong experience working on commercial heating systems and mechanical plant
  • Background within Facilities Management, Building Services, Utilities or Commercial Maintenance environments
  • Experience carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance activities
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Comfortable using mobile technology and maintenance management systems
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Full clean driving licence
