Orange Recruitment are looking for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our clients growing team in Cork. This is a standout opportunity for a driven professional to lead and shape EHS performance within a high-profile pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you’ll play a key part in influencing safety culture, managing compliance, and building trusted relationships across site and client teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of robust EHS strategies, policies, and systems
- Ensure full compliance with Irish EHS and quality regulations
- Act as the primary EHS point of contact for clients, site leadership, and operations teams
- Maintain and enhance systems aligned to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001
- Drive audit readiness, including internal and external certification audits
- Oversee risk assessments, method statements, and environmental documentation
- Monitor site activities and ensure effective risk controls
- Manage contractor safety programmes and performance
- Lead investigations and deliver meaningful corrective actions
- Champion a positive safety culture through training and engagement
- Deliver clear reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
- Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning
Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent) in EHS, Environmental Management, or similar
- 2-3+ years’ experience in a senior EHS role
- Strong understanding of Irish regulatory requirements
- Background in pharma, life sciences, manufacturing, or regulated industries
- Proven experience managing ISO-certified systems
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to build trusted client relationships
- Experience delivering training and driving continuous improvement
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel as needed
