General Foreman

Orange Recruitment are currently looking to recruit an experienced Foreman for upcoming works in the Munster region. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in construction to take the lead on day-to-day site operations and help drive the delivery of a high quality project from the ground up.We’re looking for a hands-on, practical individual with experience managing crews and subcontractors on busy sites, ideally within a concrete or general civils environment.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of daily site supervision, coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements, working closely with the Safety Officer
• Plan and coordinate works in line with the project programme, reporting any issues or delays
• Monitor and report on subcontractor performance, ensuring targets are met
• Maintain quality control across all site activities, identifying issues early and rectifying them proactively
• Provide clear instruction and leadership to the site crew
• Foster a strong team environment and support open communication across the site
• Liaise with site management, engineers, and the design team as required
• Maintain accurate daily site records, including labour, plant, and progress updates

Requirements:

• A proven track record working as a Foreman or General Foreperson on construction projects
• Experience coordinating a mix of trades and subcontractors on site
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal English
• Excellent knowledge of on-site health & safety practices
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance
• A team player who leads by example and brings a positive, solutions-driven approach to the role
