Job Title: Finance Support
Location: Hybrid work model

Salary: €42,145 per annum
Annual Leave: 23 days (pro-rata)

Office locations include: Dublin, Killarney, Galway or Sligo

Job Purpose

To provide effective and professional financial support to the Finance Team across a range of activities, including budgeting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and grant payment processing.

Key Responsibilities

General Finance Support

  • Assist with grant payment processing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting.
  • Support monthly salary processing for employees and pensioners.
  • Provide administrative support in all finance areas as required.

Grant Payment Processing

  • Verify and process claims for grant payments.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with letters of offer.
  • Maintain accurate records and update grant tracking systems.

Accounts Payable

  • Set up and maintain supplier master files.
  • Verify, register, and process supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Manage employee expenses, procurement cards, and VAT returns.
  • Process Revenue withholding tax (PSWT) and maintain compliance.

Accounts Receivable

  • Generate and issue invoices.
  • Manage debtor reports, credit notes, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate coding and VAT compliance.

Budget and Payroll Support

  • Support monthly forecasting and budget variance reporting.
  • Input budgets and journals, and prepare reports as required.
  • Assist with monthly payroll processing and compliance with PAYE modernisation.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance role.
  • A Level 6 qualification (QQI or equivalent) in finance, business, or payroll.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external relationships.
  • Professional, approachable manner with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Desirable Criteria

  • IATI Accounting Technician or part-qualified accountant.
  • IPASS qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience in high-volume finance environments.
  • Familiarity with Revenue Online and online banking systems.
  • Understanding of public sector financial practices.
