Orange Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Facilities Operations Manager to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Kilkenny.
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing facilities, plant services and site support operations within a busy production environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of site services while driving operational efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. This role would suit someone with a strong facilities, engineering or technical services background who enjoys leading teams, managing site operations and working within fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading facilities, plant services and soft services operations across the site
- Managing and supporting site-based technical and operational teams to ensure performance targets are achieved
- Building strong working relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Reporting operational updates, risks and site performance issues to senior leadership teams
- Monitoring plant services, site infrastructure and operational capacity requirements
- Supporting energy efficiency and future site upgrade initiatives
- Coordinating preventative maintenance and calibration activities alongside engineering and support teams
- Managing facility-related activities during planned shutdown periods
- Providing operational support during critical site events, breakdowns or emergency situations
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across facilities operations and site services
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring CMMS systems are updated correctly
- Supporting compliance, safety and operational best practice across all site activities
Ideal Background:
- Qualification in Facilities, Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Trade background in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services highly desirable
- Previous experience within facilities, technical services or site operations management
- Strong background working within manufacturing, industrial or regulated environments
- Medical device or pharmaceutical sector experience advantageous
- Good understanding of operational performance and service delivery metrics
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Good IT capability including CMMS systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on operational approach
