Orange Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Advisor to join our client’s team in Dublin. Representing one of Ireland’s leading construction firms, the successful candidate will help uphold the organisation’s high standards in health, safety, and environmental performance across multiple active project sites.This role suits a hands-on safety professional who excels in fast-paced environments and is committed to fostering a strong culture of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Support the roll-out and enforcement of company-wide EHS policies and best practices across various construction locations.
- Perform routine site inspections, audits, and risk evaluations to identify safety concerns and ensure proactive mitigation.
- Respond to and investigate incidents or near-misses, implementing effective follow-up measures and safety improvements.
- Deliver regular induction sessions, toolbox talks, and site-specific safety training to all personnel.
- Ensure all EHS records, including method statements, safety reports, and documentation, are kept current and compliant.
- Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and external agencies to ensure site activities align with legal and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the company’s health, safety, and environmental systems and initiatives.
Requirements:
- A formal qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, such as a NEBOSH Certificate, relevant diploma, or equivalent degree.
- At least 2-3 years of practical experience in a similar safety-focused role, ideally within the construction sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish health, safety, and environmental laws and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide others towards a safer working environment.
- Confidence to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a broader EHS or project team.
