Digital Marketing Officer

Location: Hybrid (Remote & Office-based – Dublin City Centre)
Contract: Temporary (Approx. 9 months)
Hours: 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Salary: €57,949 (pro-rata)
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

A public sector organisation is seeking an experienced and results-driven Digital Marketing Officer to join its marketing team. This is a strategic and hands-on role focused on delivering impactful digital marketing initiatives that drive engagement and demand.

You will play a key role in managing social media communities, email marketing campaigns, and digital content, while also contributing to website optimisation and broader digital strategy including SEO, SEM, and personalisation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Lead the development and execution of an omnichannel digital content strategy
  • Drive innovative content creation aligned with market trends and insights
  • Oversee content strategy across multiple websites and social channels
  • Contribute to SEO, SEM, and emerging areas such as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)
  • Support the development of personalisation strategies across digital channels

Operational

  • Manage always-on social media and email marketing campaigns
  • Optimise website content for performance, SEO, and user experience
  • Plan and deliver integrated content campaigns across channels
  • Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance
  • Collaborate with agencies, internal teams, and stakeholders
  • Support budgeting, administration, and project coordination
  • Apply consumer insights to improve digital initiatives

About You

You are a creative and analytical digital marketer with a strong track record in delivering measurable results across multiple channels.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital marketing or a similar role
  • Proven success in social media management and online brand presence
  • Experience driving performance through SEO and content marketing
  • Experience with website front-end/content management
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Desirable Experience (any two or more)

  • Omnichannel content strategy and execution
  • Email marketing and lead generation
  • A/B testing and personalisation tools
  • Campaign management across search, social, and email
  • Data-driven campaign optimisation
  • Familiarity with tools such as analytics, CMS, or CRM systems
  • Strong understanding of digital media and user engagement

Qualifications

  • A relevant professional qualification (minimum Level 6 or equivalent)

Additional Information

  • This contract is to cover a temporary absence and may end earlier or be extended
  • Annual leave: 27 days (pro-rata)
