Administrative Support – Research Funding Programmes

Location: On-site, Oranmore, Co. Galway

Duration: 6 Months June 2026

Salary Range:€36,000 – €39,000

Reporting To: Research Funding Manager

Key Duties

  • Process payments for Networking grant awards, including checking reports and receipts, processing purchase orders, and submitting payment requests
  • Issue award letters for successful applications under the 2026 Networking Call
  • Assist with the preparation of reports on Networking awards
  • Arrange payments to evaluators reviewing grant applications
  • Request and track technical and financial reports from award recipients
  • Update and maintain the research grant management portal
  • Draft press releases and social media content
  • Assist with data compilation and reporting on funded research grants
  • Support the preparation and administration of upcoming research funding calls
  • Undertake other related administrative duties as required

Skills and Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with budgets and financial administration
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Previous experience in financial reporting, grant administration, funding programmes, or a related administrative role
  • Professional, calm, and approachable manner
