Administrative Support – Research Funding Programmes
Location: On-site, Oranmore, Co. Galway
Duration: 6 Months – June 2026
Salary Range:€36,000 – €39,000
Reporting To: Research Funding Manager
Key Duties
- Process payments for Networking grant awards, including checking reports and receipts, processing purchase orders, and submitting payment requests
- Issue award letters for successful applications under the 2026 Networking Call
- Assist with the preparation of reports on Networking awards
- Arrange payments to evaluators reviewing grant applications
- Request and track technical and financial reports from award recipients
- Update and maintain the research grant management portal
- Draft press releases and social media content
- Assist with data compilation and reporting on funded research grants
- Support the preparation and administration of upcoming research funding calls
- Undertake other related administrative duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with budgets and financial administration
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Previous experience in financial reporting, grant administration, funding programmes, or a related administrative role
- Professional, calm, and approachable manner
