Orange Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS professional to join a major utilities operation supporting large-scale infrastructure and operational projects across Ireland.

This hybrid position offers a strong mix of remote working, site-based activity and long-term career stability within a growing and essential sector. The successful candidate will join a high-performing team focused on driving safety standards, operational compliance and continuous improvement across active projects and contractor operations.

This role would suit someone coming from utilities, construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, maintenance or industrial environments looking to join a progressive organisation with strong long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across operational and project sites
  • Supporting contractor management and maintaining high safety standards on-site
  • Investigating incidents and supporting corrective action implementation
  • Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings and awareness initiatives
  • Promoting a proactive and positive safety culture across operational teams
  • Monitoring safety performance trends and supporting preventative improvement measures
  • Assisting with risk assessments, RAMS reviews and compliance documentation
  • Providing practical EHS guidance to operational teams and contractors
  • Participating in project reviews, safety planning and pre-handover inspections

Ideal Background:

  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within an EHS, compliance or site safety role
  • Previous experience within utilities, infrastructure, construction, civils, industrial or related sectors
  • Strong knowledge of site inspections, audits and incident investigations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong reporting and IT capability including Microsoft Excel
  • Full clean driving licence and flexibility for site travel
  • Water or wastewater sector experience beneficial but not essential
